A "Whale" of a party!

K had her 10th birthday party Saturday morning.  It was a fish/ocean theme.  My sis gave me a great idea for the cake.  We frosted it blue and put brown sugar on for the sand with little umbrellas and little bears sitting in peach rings (floaties) and lots of gummie fish around.  It turned out so cute.  K loved it.  We played a relay game my Mom thought of with balloons and having to sit on them to pop them.  Then we did a relay that involved fishing in our pool and running to our slide and dumping the fish down the slide.  We also painted wooden seashells and ate pizza.  It turned out to be a fun party.

  2. Were you exhausted after? Birthday parties are a lot of fun, but even more work :) I only let my kids have one every other year on odd numbered birthdays. What a fun, cool party, though. I am sure the girls loved it! My kids love relay races. The cake is awesome!!
